There are different ways to key up locks, and these are below. We can also supply you with a Registered Restricted Key System - see the section below on different types of these systems.

It's a new type of security - Programmable keys. There's a double coding in the keys - mechanical coding on the blade and electronic coding on a chip in the bow. When the key is inserted into the cylinder, the mechanical part turns the lock and the electronic part of the cylinder reads the key.
The data held by the cylinder includes the date and time an Abloy Protec Cliq key was inserted into the cylinder.
When you want to know who's been using the door, a programming key is inserted into the cylinder, the data is put onto the key and the key taken back to the reader attached to a computer. The data is then read by the key reader and comes up on the computer screen.
Abloy Protec Cliq cylinders are made to retrofit directly into your existing mechanical lock system.
